Hello everyone.
Here is a conversation I had with Torq Blackstock, a man I met while at Wat Pa Tam Wua, a Buddhist monastery in the northern forests of Thailand, north east of Chiang Mai close to the Myanmar border.
We first met over breakfast after making an offering to the monks. It turned out we hailed from the same part of England, on the intersection of the three counties of Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, and Buckinghamshire, and, get this, he used to play rugby with my dad when they were younger.
We sat down in the grounds of the monastery on his last evening and we talked about his pathway into adulthood and the development of his relationship with Eastern traditions, especially Buddhism.
It is good to be home again, and I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did.
As always, leave any comments and questions you have.
