How about simplifying it and saying that freedom of expression isn’t about saying whatever you want to say and to hell with what anyone else thinks about that. But if someone were to feel offended to guide them by the hand and show them how what you have said is not offensive.
And in principle it being about speaking freely, someone else choosing whether they like what you say or not and you choosing to care whether you like it or not.
Then of authorities get involved that their decision as to what happens.
There’s no point in being concerned over something you have no control over. You can choose to worry about it or not worry about something you cant control but either way, the outcome will be the same, so why worry? 🤷♂️
